Every Saturday morning I wake up around 8 am. not too early, not too late. If I stay in bed much longer than that I get restless thinking about all the things I could be doing and can't relax anyways - so I just get up and get going for the day.

I kid you not when I say that usually within the first half hour of being awake, either my husband or I will ask the other if we have to go to Costco that day. Not because we are excited about the $1.50 hot dog combo, or the free samples - it's because we loathe shopping at Costco on Saturdays. Loathe could actually be an understatement.

But without fail, we almost always end up going. (Do you know how much milk a family of 7 goes through?!) When I was single and it was just my daughter and I, our half gallon would usually go bad before we would run out... so having to buy multiple gallons every week just seems unreal to me!

Anyhow - a few years ago Costco started carrying these amazing pumpkin flavored almonds during the fall months. They are Sconza Pumpkin Pie Almonds. A co-worker had a bowl of them in her office and offered me some. Mind blown. Life changed. Whatever you want to say. So I later got myself a bag. After I had slowly eaten that bag (maybe inhaled...) I went to get another. And do you know what?! Our Costco was all out of them!!! How could this be?! Well, on one of Chris' trips up to see me (I lived in Idaho and he was living in Utah) - he and his sister somehow managed to get me 8 bags of almonds from 4 different Costco stores! Is that love or what?!!? I seriously had them rationed out to 1 bag a month, or less, and it kept my love of pumpkin for almost an entire year!

But back to the story at hand.... We went to Costco. It was like a salmon trying to swim upstream. Crying babies, people having conversations with their long lost friends right in the middle of the isles, others hovering over sample kiosks...then it happened. Out of the corner of my eye, a beautiful layered crate of PUMPKIN ALMONDS!!!!!!

I know from experience that if you don't buy it when you see it - it most likely will be gone. So do I buy a whole palette? 2 bags? 5 bags? 10 bags? The heart wants what the heart wants.

Or stomach.

Go try these. They are amazing!!!! Let me know what you think.
